We are pleased to offer hot school meals everyday at High Street Primary School provided by The Big Fresh Catering Company (from 1st January 2020) Service. Please come to the office and collect a menu to look at the choices available to pupils. As well as providing hot meals the school catering team supply jacket potatoes with various fillings, and grab bags. Dinner money is currently £2.30 per day from 1.4.19. (this will increase to £2.35 per day from 1.4.2020) and is collected on a Monday and should be sent to school in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the child’s name, class, amount enclosed for the days dinner money is required. From September 2015 the schools pupil database will be linked to a terminal in the kitchen. This means that dinner money will have to be paid in advance so that the terminal is in credit when your child goes to have a meal. If you do not pay in advance when your child goes for a meal they could be refused. If you have any concerns please speak to the administration staff.
Children now order their meals using an electronic system called Cypad.
If you think your child is eligible for free school meals please contact a member of the school administration team who can help you complete the necessary form. Children who are eligible for free school meals can pick which days they want to stay and can either bring sandwiches or go home for lunch on days when they don’t like what’s on offer! Don’t forget we have special menu days, Christmas, Bonfire Night, Easter etc. and there is always a selection of freshly cooked baguettes on offer.
