Reaching for the stars since 1889.

High Street Primary school is a county primary school catering for pupils between the ages of three and eleven. The school is located to the west of Barry town centre. It is a large Victorian building which contains two halls and has two additional demountable classrooms to the rear of the site.

In addition to the mainstream classes the school has two special educational needs classes. Class 8 is an emotional and behaviour class for key stage 2 children and Unit 1 is an observation and assessment class for key stage one children. These classes cater for small groups of children with special educational needs from all parts of the Vale of Glamorgan. Arrangements are made at every opportunity for the integration of these children with the whole school or specific mainstream classes.

The school also has a nursery class which caters for 26 children morning and afternoon.

Parents who are considering sending their children to the school are welcome to visit the Head Teacher by appointment.
